Last Books That Came Into My Possession

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

So I forgot today was Tuesday. OOPS.

Normally I’ve been more on the ball with TTT posts but today it was kinda just thrown together. I haven’t really been buying too many books lately, so most of these have been featured in other posts.

Emma by Jane Austen (local used book store)
Seraphina by Rachel Hartman (local book store)

Avatar graphic novels (birthday gift)

The Martian by Andy Weir & Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige (Barnes & Noble; birthday gift)

Cinder & Scarlet by Marissa Meyer (audio)

I Never Promised You a Rose Garden by Joanne Greenberg (ebook)

Ernest Hemingway collection & Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy collection by Douglas Adams (Barnes & Noble)

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart (audio)

We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver and The Casual Vacancy by J. K. Rowling
(from my sister)

Daisy Miller by Henry James, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, Divergent series by Veronica Roth (ebooks)

Let me know what books you’ve received recently! Also, have you read any of these? I still need to get to Daisy Miller, Emma, I Never Promised You a Rose Garden, the rest of the Divergent series, and a few others.

Have a happy Tuesday!

I love how eclectic this list is! I've read EMMA, but it's been a looonnggg time. Probably due for a re-read. I love JANE EYRE and all of the Lunar Chronicles books. GONE GIRL is pretty messed up, but a real pageturner.

    Enjoy all these. Happy TTT!

So many different genres, love it! I really hope you like The Lunar Chronicles; I can't wait for the conclusion, Winter, in November!

WOW – so much good stuff coming your way lately! Seraphina is one of my all time favorite YA books. The Avatar GN are a ton of fun and I'm jealous that you own them:). Also The Martian and The Lunar Chronicles are a blast! and… and… and… You get the point! Lots of good books on here! The Ernest Hemingway collection is also interesting – I read a fictional book about him (The Paris Wife) in which he was a total jerk and it's sort of turned me off from reading his books. My brother has been trying to convince me otherwise however! Hope you like it!

He was a jerk! And kind of obsessed with masculinity and he hunted lions and did a lot of things I don't care for (I had to give a presentation over him once) but I can't deny that he knows how to write. That said, I've only read some of his short stories–I haven't gotten around to any of his novels yet! That will change soon, as soon as I can switch from this YA kick I'm on right now.
