five authors I’d love to meet.

I actually did this topic back in 2015, so it’s going to be a short list today! It’s mostly going to be a rant about not being able to meet two of my favorite authors last year because I live jussst far enough away from St. Louis to not be able to realistically make a trip there and back on a school night. (Wouldn’t be as much of an issue now that I’ve graduated, but that last year of grad school was rough.)

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week’s topic: Top Ten Authors I’m Dying To Meet.

Rainbow Rowell
She actually was in St. Louis last year but I didn’t get to go because I’m a good student, but my friend went and got a copy of Carry On signed for me!
Also Rainbow Rowell has the best Twitter. And has favorited my tweets to her before so we’re basically best pals.

Marissa Meyer
Marissa Meyer also came to St. Louis last year and I also missed her because I was a student and my same friend from earlier also got her to sign a book for me.
Moral of this story: I need to live closer to a major city but at least I have awesome friends.

Noelle Stevenson
Okay I honestly know nothing about Noelle Stevenson except that she wrote Nimona and designed the cover of Fangirl. I haven’t read Lumberjanes yet, but I’m sure it’s great.
I just feel like she has to be an awesome person and I want to be her friend.

Veronica Roth
Okay I also admittedly have not read most of Veronica Roth’s books. I read Divergent and thought it was so-so, but never finished the series. I’ll probably have to change that before I actually meet her and become her friend. But I do follow her on Twitter and she always makes me smile.

Maggie Stiefvater
So I read Shiver back in the day and hated it…and I haven’t read The Raven Boys…but I really liked The Scorpio Races! And she’s a racecar driver, so that’s cool. I really know only know about two things about her…I’m not even sure if that’s really her in the photo…but she seems pretty down-to-earth and talented so yeah.
